Low water alert for Cudgewa residents

UPDATE: 10 January 2026

All treatment plants are currently operating as normal, and we are now maintaining storage levels at their usual capacity. Please continue to use water as you normally would under the Permanent Water Saving Rules

Extreme heat and high fire risk are impacting drinking water supplies in Cudgewa.

Current tap water demand in Cudgewa is higher than what we can supply, and there is a real risk of the town running out.

Please reduce all outdoor water use immediately.

If you need to evacuate, do NOT leave garden or roof sprinklers running unattended. Town water is vital for firefighting efforts and must be conserved for when a fire front arrives.

Thank you for your support during this time.
