Salary
  • $59,237 to $75,160 plus 11.5% superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
  • This role attracts additional remuneration through allowances and participation in an on-call roster.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Candidates must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or a foreign national with authorisation to work in Australia
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Successful applicants will be required to undertake pre-employment checks including a police check and/or pre-employment medical and functional testing where applicable.

 

The Operator Reticulation plays a pivotal role in consistently executing water and wastewater reticulation tasks and ensuring smooth and efficient operations to deliver safe drinking water and compliant wastewater services. 

 

This role is a full-time, ongoing opportunity including a monthly RDO and flexible work options. You will be part of our ‘Benalla’ reticulation team that services from Benalla up through to Goorambat, Devenish and St James, and support other teams in the Reticulation West area as required. 


In this role you will have access to a diverse range of learning opportunities, allowing you to expand your knowledge and skills in the field of reticulation.


The general hours of work are between 7am and 4:30pm and once deemed competent, you will be required to participate in a seven-day on call roster every 3-4 weeks which operates from a Tuesday until the following Tuesday. 


 

General day-to-day duties

  • Emergency repairs on water and wastewater pipes and assets.
  • Scheduled maintenance on water and wastewater pipes and assets.
  • Monitoring and maintenance of sewer pump stations.
  • Water meter inspections, readings, and repairs.
  • Inspection of assets such as pumps and pipes.
  • Completion of electronic work orders and data entry.
  • Ordering and collecting parts and materials.
  • Basic site and ground maintenance.
  • Other duties as required.

Key Selection Criteria

To be in consideration for this position please address in your application how you meet the following key selection criteria:

  1. Understanding of and/or experience in asset (such as pipes and pumps) and equipment monitoring and maintenance.
  2. Basic computer skills with the ability to conduct system checks, complete electronic work orders and input information.
  3. Understanding of and/or experience in the maintenance of water and sewer networks, is desirable but not required. 
  4. Licence or competency in the use of excavation equipment, is not required but a willingness to obtain is essential.
  5. Current Medium Rigid Drivers licence.
