Tungamah Sewerage Scheme

The Tungamah Sewerage Scheme was declared as serviced on Wednesday 7 May 2014. The sewerage scheme provides Tungamah with an improved and reliable wastewater system and treatment of effluent through a modified conventional sewer system.

The implementation of a sewer scheme in Tungamah addresses onsite wastewater management issues, reduces the impact on the stormwater system servicing the township and minimises the risks to public health and the environment.

The Tungamah Sewerage Scheme was funded through the Victorian Government’s Country Towns Water Supply and Sewerage Program and services approximately 200 properties.
